Our young dogs still think the snow is great fun! But they want to come inside when their feet get cold. Maybe that is the curse of winter - cold feet!
Happy Holidays, everyone!!!!
Algebra 2 FOLKS:
• Well, our "clear sailing on the horizon" disappeared with three very sick felines. Fortunately, all three have finally turned the corner toward recovery. It feels like we are running an animal hospital with the pills, shots, special diets, and the needed hugs and cuddling for these 3 little souls (with 3 different health issues). We have gone 20 years with no serious feline health issues, and now three at once. I think it is a test!
Or maybe it is a Christmas blessing that the three little ones are on the mend and looking forward to being healthy cats once again.
Optimistically, there must be clear sailing coming.
• We will continue our pattern to update the Notebook topic pages first and then the matching subscription sections.
• We will continue creating matching TI-Nspire links to coordinate with the A2 topic areas.
• We will not remove the TI-84+ reference links which many of you are still using.
Algebra 1 FOLKS: During our work on Algebra 2, we are encountering things we want to add, enhance, or reflect back to Algebra 1. So, attention Algebra 1 Folks - you may be seeing some additions or changes to A1 Notebook pages, or "notes" in the subscription areas indicating a new or changed item. These additions will appear in coordination with the Algebra 2 topic under enhancement at that time. The graphing requests will also be appearing shortly.
Junior Math FOLKS: We think we have addressed all of the requests. We have some new interactive goodies on the horizon, but it may be awhile before we can address them. Algebra 2 is a prime focus right now.
Pre-Calculus FOLKS: Yes, Pre-Calculus and Calculus are coming. When the Algebra 2 upgrades are completed, Pre-Calculus will be our main focus. As we have stated, some of the work is finished in the "College Algebra" component of Pre-Calculus which will push us off to a good re-start. Projecting a time frame is hard. We are still hoping to re-start work in mid-to-late 2026, with a hope to open for fall of 2027, along with CAS sections for the TI-Nspire. But, one thing we learned this year, is don't plan too far ahead - you never know what may be heading your way.
Remember: New Updates Never End!
As major areas reach the end of their current NGMS-focused enhancement phase, please understand that the concept of "updating" never ends. We seem to be continually finding new items we want to include in our materials. We still have piles for each level that include new ideas we want to develop. So, even if your section is currently "complete", there will still be new things coming your way in the future.
Now, if someone could just put more than 24 hours in one day,
it would be most helpful!!! Smiles!
Live long and love math,
Fred and Donna
